Move along. There are no green alligators nor Easter bonnets to sing along with here

Ever since posting the video yesterday of the Irish revelers singing the Unicorn song, an endless loop of "green alligators and long-necked geese" has been running through my brain. Never mind the humpty backed camels and the chimpanzees.

If I have caused the same, um, let’s try not to call it pain, in your life, I do humbly apologize. Let’s all move on. The chain drug stores have changed out their shamrocks for bunnies and Peeps. And so I give you, in the spirit of the pink holiday: Pink Floyd. Hopefully, it clears your brain of that other song that shall not be mentioned.

    Gotta be some connection, but I’m not smart enough to figure it out. I’m reading “Crazy Diamond: Syd Barrett & the Dawn of Pink Floyd.” I was looking up a reference in the book which connected me to the site of a Floyd tribute band named Breathe. While I was doing that, the guy on the radio was playing something Floyd by a group named Blue Floyd, another tribute band. Now you, too! So do I get a visit from David Gilmour now? Or – shiver – from Syd?

    Lou,
    I get these “coincidental” things happening to me all the time. I always marvel at them, laugh at them, wonder if there are things going on in the ether we just don’t understand. When I try to share them with people…I get a lot of “yeah, so?” reactions.
    My best was when I had a dream about a radio announcer I used to work with but hadn’t seen nor thought about for six years. He was long gone out of my life. The next day, I was doing volunteer work and chatting with a fellow volunteer who, it turns out, was soon going to be marrying that radio announcer I’d dreamed about just a few hours earlier. It was eerie.
    Let us know if there’s another Floyd sighting…as if you need any more.
