It's always on my packing list. But I never thought to lisSuitcase, bandana-Ellen Perlmant all the reasons why. So I offer you 13 ways to use a bandana, care of Fodor's travel blog.

Bandana travel tips include:

  • Over your mouth to protect against sand and dust in windy conditions.
  • To hold ice over a bruise.
  • To lay jewelry or other small items on so as to remember to take them when packing.
  • As a napkin to take a roll or piece of fruit from a breakfast buffet out of the restaurant.

Go to Fodor's blog to read others.

There you also will find other fun travel tips, several of which I'd never heard of or thought of. Love learning new things!

For instance, ever thought of bringing a balloon? Yup, you blow up a balloon and put it inside clothes you've hand washed to help them dry faster. Fantastic travel tip in this day and of carry on luggage and the need to hand wash.

How about a collapsible flower vase? (yeah, I don't need this one either). Or, using contact lens cases used as containers for moisturizer and other cosmetics you only need a little of. Or duct tape wrapped around a pen, for emergencies?

Love these 13 travel tips. Thanks Fodor's!
